Frost ISD Board of Trustees named Leroy Joffre as Lone Finalist for Superintendent of Schools at the board meeting that was held tonight.
Leroy "Lee" Joffre is a veteran Texas educator with 26 years of experience in public education, including 19 years in administrative leadership; including four years as a superintendent. He has successfully led campuses and districts of various sizes, ranging from small rural schools to large high schools, with a focus on academic achievement through student growth. Joffre has taught math at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, and brings a well-rounded perspective to leadership. He also served as a head softball coach at the 2A level and assisted in football and basketball. Known for his hands-on approach, he has overseen major construction projects, improved accountability ratings, and expanded career readiness through dual credit and industry-based certifications. Mr. Joffre is also a veteran of the US Navy and served as a flight deck crash crewman during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

The health department has cancelled the sports physicals and immunization clinic that was scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, May 3rd. Students will need to obtain their required immunizations and physicals independently through their personal healthcare providers.
