Counselor's Corner

Welcome to the Frost ISD Counseling Center. My name is Lara Herd and I am the Pre-K-12 School Counselor. I have worked in education for 17 years. This is my 8th year at Frost as the School Counselor. I am passionate about our students and am eager to help in anyway I can. 

As a school counselor, I am committed to serving the academic, career and personal/social needs of all students. I believe that all students can develop and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, abilities and character needed to live productive and rewarding lives.

I have been trained to provide support to students in meeting and overcoming personal issues such as grief, stress, conflict resolution as well as crisis intervention. I am here to assist students in developing a plan for their education and future career.
